Camera Cages

A camera cage gives you more mounting points to attach accessories, makes your camera more rigid and protected, and improves the handling when shooting video. They help stabilize your setup.

You can mount all kinds of accessories on a cage like handles, lights, microphones, monitors, wireless transmitters, and more. Cages have multiple threaded holes, cold shoes to provide flexible mounting options.

Most cages use a base plate that screws into your camera's tripod mount. You slide the plate into the cage and lock it down with a thumbscrew or quick release system. This allows quick attachment and removal.

Most camera cages are designed for quick and easy assembly without any special tools needed. You may need a screwdriver for mounting plates or accessories, but the cage parts themselves can be adjusted tool-free.

Break down the cage into separate parts rather than storing it pre-assembled. Use the original packaging if possible, or wrap and store the components in a padded camera bag. Avoid exposing it to moisture or excessive heat.
