The only con I could find is the twist lock for the camera plate is hard to twist. Other than that love this tripod.

I tried my new Zero Y in a challenging location, close to the ground to capture some early spring blooms. The tripod was solid and easy to manipulate and my camera as not a light rig. I use a Canon R5, RF-EF adaptor, and Canon 100mm F2.8 macro lens.

I really enjoy using this new tripod. I bought it to replace my Peak Design aluminum tripod. Liked the PD tripod, but I never really get along very well with the head. Most of the time I was using a Joby ball head instead, so the tripod was a bit heavier and two inches longer. So, the ball head on the Ulanzi is a big improvement. Much easier to adjust. Makes the tripod an inch or so longer, but still shorter than the PD with the Joby. I would say that it's a bit more stable too.
In the end, I am very happy with the move I have made. To me the Ulanzi is making my life easier. I always carry it with me.
Elvis D.
Amazing tripod thanks
Jared M.
Love the small compact lightweight size.
Vincente S.
Best tripod I have ever owned. Better than the Peak Design Carbon Fiber Tripod which I sold to get this one, and I have no regrets. The cylindrical legs are much sturdier than the trapezoidal shape of the peak design. The Zero Y is very light weight and I really enjoy using the f38 fluid head, combined with my Atoll Silence Corner I can get all the footage I need easily.
Rollin H.
Seems to be high quality and lightweight. Love how compact the diameter is.
Brian O.
I had read all of the very well balances YouTube reviews and took the plunge. The tripod is very well made and very light and compact. I have the 1/4 centre section and the Mobile holder and they feel really high quality and work really well. The leg controls and the pan/swivel controls are excellent. This is the tripod I should have bought 3 tripods ago!!

I have had the Zero Y tripod about three days and yesterdayI took it to a nearby state park to practice focus stacking. I want a low weight tripod for carrying in my hand, while I carry my camera on a vest. I am in my mid seventies and every convenience makes it easier. The Ulanzi tripod is wonderful. It is very easy to set up and is rock solid. The legs extend and contract smoothly. Much better than the tripod it replaced. I have one small complaint however. The arca-swiss mounting plate that comes with the tripod is so small and requires a tool to screw onto the camera. At least I would have hoped for a thumb screw of some type. I have since purchased an L-bracket for my camera and I use the bracket that came with the tripod to fill space in my bag. This is a small issue compared to what seems like a high quality tripod. The built-in ball head works well too and is smooth and is easy to position my camera into a level position. It is nice to get the phone mount with the tripod. It seems very well built and has a built in arca-swiss mount that is nicer than the one mentioned previously. The mounting plate is why I only give a rating of 4-stars.
Clifton N.
Very high quality!
peter c.
Excellent tripod in its size n weight. Except the leveling indicator is hidden below the camera.
Micah S.
Light, strong, and easy to use. This tripod easily holds my lightly rigged Sony A7 IV. Only thing missing for my needs is a lightweight video head with adjustable drag.
Patrick G.
The best tripod I've ever owned at an unbelievable price.
Jose A.
Amazing support and products! Highly recommended.
Vojtěch B.
Great tripod! If you want something reliable that will last for years, this is it!
The only downside I see is the lack of a fluid head option. For this kind of money, I would love to have a choice because I like the overall tripod and how it’s built a lot more than the video tripod from Ukanzi with fluid head and I would love to have this option on a lot more expensive tripod.
Maurie H.
Excellent product. Is everything it says on the box. This is my second lightweight travel tripod, and this one’s the keeper. I was delighted to find an unexpected ‘’gift with purchase’ in the package, a cool wee LED light. Thanks guys, you rock!
Bujar H.
The Best Carbon Fiber Tripod on market. Excellent build quality . Top Sellers.
Robert K.
Lightweight, packable, sturdy, great price. What more could you want in a tripod. Only complaint is lock for horizintal pivoting piece on the ball head is hard to lock on unlock when your camera is mounted.
Hylco D.
I first received a vlogging piece per post and thought I was sent the wrong article. Then, after writing them they sent me another track and trace for the tripod. The amount on it was 50 USD so I didn't have to pay taxes. Very quick customer support and satisfied with the product :)
Sha F.
It is light and strong tripod. I will take with me when I travel abroad.
Tony H.
The Ulanzi & Coman Zero Y tripod is by far the best travel tripod I have ever used. Very stable given its small size and very easy to operate. I highly recommend it.
Baek M.
The biggest problem is the delivery…
Y’all need to wither work on a warehouse here or faster shipping. You know you have a good product and people want it. Make it faster. I love it, but the waiting was insane to today standards.
Robert D.
I bet I own a dozen tripods, but when it comes to a lightweight travel tripod where size and weight are critical, the Ulanzi gets my vote!
david s.
This tripod is light and sturdy. This is exactly what I wanted for my hikes and urban photography. Excellent quality and the price for what you get is excellent in my opinion. Well done again Ulanzi!
Asmir R.
Thank you for amazing tripod I really love this tripod it will gonna be great for my travel and daily use ,thank you again
Thomas F.
Tolles Stativ. Hatte es zwei Wochen in Island im Einsatz und es hat alles bestens funktioniert. Der Verschluss des Kugelkopfs könnte etwas besser funktionieren. Alles in allem aber ein großartiges Stativ.
Jenny A.
Bought the tripod for my husband and he loved it. Aside from its lightweight, the tripod was able to support the low level angle shots.
Davide C.
The tripod is really top. Easy to carry on and light perfect for my work that i traveling a lot. Extension and materials just amazing. Fast to positioning and mount the camera up. So so happy for that and in special for the price.
Gary T.
Nothing to say much here. Absolutely amazed at this. Meets all criteria
Paulo D.
Very happy withe the product.
John D.
Is everything as expected. Very well built. Great purchase decision.
Ethan F.
The purchase service is very good, I will see more of your products in the future
Travis L.
After doing some heavy research, I bought this tripod over the Peak Design Travel Tripod. I had been in love with the concept of the Peak Design tripod for years but could never justify the price. This tripod is absolutely amazing and I can not recommend it enough.
The only flaw that I have experienced so far is the center column splits in two, and was not tightened when it arrived. This almost caused me to drop my camera when the tripod was fully extended. Just make sure you tighten this and everything will be great!
Paul K.
The tripod is solid and nicely compact, the head versatile. I'm looking forward to taking this tripod everywhere.
Jeremy P.
Sturdy and lightweight. Love it.
JJ G.
It is exactly how it was described. I like it a lot how compact, well built and well designed.
I am using this for travel and hiking.
Bobir A.
IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT, LOVE IT.
Geo W.
I was originally interested in the Peak Design but when I saw the features of the Ulanzi Comen it was an easy decision to choose the Ulanzi. The tripod exudes quality and thoughtfulness in design, from the case to the tripod and even the spiked feet. The price made the already great tripod even better. I purchased the light stand option as well and as a portrait photographer this will come in very handy.
David R.
Really enjoy how light and small the tripod is packed up. Easy to carry in backpack for photo walks and or cycling to get to photo locations.
Terrence A.
Quality construction with a perfect balance of size, weight and cost.
Marcin K.
Very tall for a travel tripod. Lots of attention to detail its design. Tiny things that do make a difference like the pan lock knob, which can be repositioned before or after tightening, so that it doesn't collide with the camera body.
For such a small tripod, the pan axis feels really fluid, everything is easy to adjust.
Very well though out. Materials are great too.
I wasn't paying attention but with that order, even though I did not specifically order it, I've received a mobile phone mount with arca-compatible base plate.
Initially I thought I wasn't going to use it but it's great for video calls when busy with other things.
The only thing I'd say needs an improvement is not about the product itself but the shipment tracking. One place to see where the package is instead of multiple confusing and often contradicting links would be much appreciated.
Pontus H.
A very sturdy and well made tripod. Worth every penny. Fast shipping to the other side of the world.
Taylor K.
Amazing Tripod! Super versatile and well thought out :) really impressed
Dik H.
I saw the Zero Y tripod on YouTube and thought it looked pretty nice for the price. Once I received mine, my opinion went from "nice" to WOW! This tripod is amazing for a small travel tripod. At 1.1kg, this unit rivals my Gitzo and my ProMediaGear units which are many times heavier and five times the cost. I hope the Ulanzi tripod proves to be durable. There was a small issue with my original purchase and after contacting the Ulanzi customer service the issue was resolved completely, with Ulanzi going above and beyond my expectations. Thank you Ulanzi! If you are in the market for a light but extremely stable tripod, consider the Ulanzi Zero Y Travel Tripod. I am more than pleased with the product and you will be too!
Richard C.
Absolutely the best tripod ever - solid construction and easy to use - light weight
Daniel F.
Nice tripod. Light, compact, and easy to carry.
Maximillan C.
Very good travel tripod
Lindsay M.
I couldn't afford the PD carbon fiber travel tripod, so I purchased their aluminum version. The package arrived the day after I saw a review on YT of your Ulanzi + Coman carbon fiber travel tripod. It has more features and it's much, much lighter than the PD aluminum travel tripod. I was fortunate to use a 20% discount code to purchase the Ulanzi + Coman the next day! The PD tripod was returned immediately. I have shared the website with other photographers who've seen me using it recently. I'm really happy with my purchase!
BTW....thanks for the included smart phone mount!
Jay C.
I am quite impressed by both the light weight and its small footprint. What surprised me was that it fits neatly inside of my Tamrac Anvil Slim 11 Photo Backpack which is not a big backpack.
I do believe that Ulanzi has built upon the weaknesses of its leading competitor. Not that the competitor's products were bad in any way because their travel tripod is an excellent choice if you want to fork over the money. I owned one. They just had a few weaknesses, and the Zero-Y has greatly improved upon those weaknesses. I was concerned about the Ulanzi silver latches because they just seem too easy to be tighten securely. I can say that they do secure snugly, and I won't have any worries of damaging my expensive gear.
The best part is the price. It beats the competition by a landslide. Heck, you could almost purchase two of these Travel Tripods for the price of one of theirs.
The build quality seems very robust and should provide many years of excellent service. If you are looking for a great travel tripod, I would highly recommend this tripod because of its super lightweight, compact carrying size, low price, and its many features.

Nice alternative to the Peak Design Travel Tripod at a great price. What sold me was the ballhead’s ability to still be adjusted while fully retracted, acting as a leveling base and the ability to pan after leveling the head. While I like the lever to lock the ball head and the center column, I do notice that if I didn’t clamp down the center column forcefully that it has a tendency to wobble a little bit so I am not confident on this tripod’s ability to support a heavy camera/lens combo. I know that it’s a travel tripod but the 3kg load capacity is bit on the small side. On my tripod the lever for locking the center column sticks out quite a bit when the tripod is folded which was not how it looked on most review videos that I saw. It would be nice if the manual included some info on how to adjust the clamps and take apart, reassemble and maintain the lever locks on the legs. The leg clamps on my unit were not all aligned the same way on the three legs. Also I noticed on my unit that they changed the tool and the screw on the plate to a smaller size compared to the standard size screw on the plate and tool with both sizes. As I typically would mount this using my peak design plate, this makes it a negative change for me. Also the tripod plate has a raised area for aligning cameras that is NOT retractable. I normally mount a pan/tilt head to the clamp so I had to use a different plate, otherwise, the head is not leveled. It would be nice if Ulanzi/Coman would sell an alternative head with a 3/8” mount like Peak Design does on their tripod. Finally, (I am being really picky here)j, the thread on the removable feet is M8 instead of the more standard 1/4” or 3/8” which makes it almost impossible for me to get longer 3rd party spikes.
James I.
I had a Peak Designs travel tripod and enjoyed it, but not the high price. Then I started to watch YouTube videos on how great the Ulanzi one is, so I sold the Peak Designs one and bought the Ulanzi for half the price and I like it even more! so if you are looking for a great carbon fiber travel tripod, the Ulanzi is the one to get. Shipping comes directly from China and for me, this was the only problem as it took 3 weeks. But life goes on and I am smiling as a happy camper.
Jamie C.
I almost bought the excellent Peak Design (PD) but was rewarded with patience. For the cost, this is excellent and arguably equal to the PD travel tripod. What I also love is that I can use the excellent PD base plates so I can slip my camera into the Ulanzi Tripod and back into my PD quick-release clips.
Nice that whilst competing against one another the equipment is compatible.
Steven A.
Hello Ulanzi! I received the Ulanzi Coman Zero tripod a few weeks ago, but unfortunately have only used it a few times, I am planning a big trip next week, so will have more time under the belt. That said, I know this tripod will be a winner for me. It is very lightweight, love the ballhead design as opposed to the PD version. The materials and quality is top notch and I feel this tripod can take a lot of wear and tear out in the field. Practical design elements such as the hidden screwdriver, ability use a pan feature and again...it is light...light...light!
I also own the PD carbon version, bought it last year and used it throughout the fall season. It is a good tripod, a little more sturdier then the Zero, I think the PD's angular style legs gives it a little more stability, but alas...the ball features are short compared to the Zero and again noticeable difference in weight (at least for me!)
I will have more to share on my experience with the Zero after next week...
Steve

Super lightweight tripod, this will help me a lot in my travels to Dolomites. Great addition to my phot gear.
Michael C.
The wait was long, but I finally received my new tripod, the quality was very surprising. The web reviews were spot on and I think the Ulanzi&Coman tripod ZeroY is one of the best values on the tripod market today. Thank you Mike
Walter S.
Excellent product, good price. While I have done a bit of ‘wood shedding’ with the tripod, looking forward to using on my upcoming vacation.
DAVID P.
I haven't used it in the field yet, but it is sturdy and I think it's better than the Peak Design, which I also own.
Gregory H.
Sturdy for a travel tripod. Head works great and the panning feature while completely collapsed is great. Also love that you can remove a section of the post for low angle shots.
Sam S.
Great tripod, well crafted and designed.
I liked a lot the last couple outings I was able to go shooting. It’s certainly sturdy but I didn’t care much for the screw knob for the Arca Swiss plate; I would’ve preferred a lever locking mechanism similar to the ball head and center column. Mine came loose couple of times.
Another area of improvement is to allow an option to swap the proprietary ball head to something else.
Overall, when compared to my Peak Design, I like it that it’s a bit lighter but it did not seem to be as sturdy or strong. I’ll be keeping both for more testing for the time being.
Overall, I’m satisfied but not ready to make the jump and sell my PD just yet!

I live in the Blue Mountains, Australia where the scenery is steep. You're either going hard downhill or hard uphill to get to your photos. We also spend time in New Zealand which is also a steep country. After lugging my carbon Benro around for 5 years I finally decided I need something lighter that packs smaller. Along comes the Ulanzi & Coman Zero and I couldn't be happier. It's steady enough to hold my Pentax K1 and DFA lenses yet light enough to guarantee that it ALWAYS comes along. It's the perfect solution for me.
Donny B.
I absolutely love this tripod! It is exactly what I needed and everything is well thought out! I've tried so many over the years and have not been in love with any of them until I purchased this one! I made a video showing my appreciation on my YouTube channel. It really is a great product!!

This tripod is simply awesome.
Amazing quality, fast expansion and collapse, amazing ball head.
The one downside is that the hook at the bottom is let to spin freely, making is sound like there is something loose.
Dale H.
I say never by new tech until it has reached it's perfection. I love my Manfrotto tripod for what it does. Haven't had enough time with this yet but very impressed.

When i purchased this tripod (due to another You tuber) I was very impressed with all the features. When i got it, I was super impressed with the build quality, lightness of the tripod and versatility. It meets all of my needs perfectly. compared to all the other tripods of "so called equivalent value" Ulanzi blew them all out of the water. Plus they threw in an extra iphone holder mount that also was excellent quality.
Thank you Ulanzi

The best tripod I ever had. It is light and easy to open and it has 360 turn to which ever side that I wanted weather it is up or down focus
Jeff M.
The tripod is smaller than I thought it would be. I thought I might be able to use it for my smaller cinema rigs using the GH6 and Panasonic BGH1, but it doesn't feel sturdy enough to support a fully rigged out smaller cinema camera setup. I will use this for my smaller camcorders or still photography cameras. I think this tripod will be able to hold a Canon R5 with an EF 70-200mm f/2.8.
Besides the size, my only complaint is the half ball mount. It's great when you want to angle your camera without having to adjust the legs, but I personally like to adjust the levels using the legs, so that is my bias. It takes me longer to adjust from the ball mount and it's not quick to level the ball mount to center balance.
Alex L.
Absolutely incredible value for money. Great job with this tripod, it is a joy to use and travel with!
Alan F.
Love the construction and light weight of the tripod. The ball head fits beautifully into the head and rotates nicely. My main disappointment is that the camera plate does not have a butterfly type of tightening screw. I need a plate that can easily be removed and placed on another camera.
Sean R.
Looks and feels solid. Gives you all the features you’re looking for in a travel tripod. If you need a new tripod look no further.
Abishek S.
I was very excited when i first came across Ulanzi tripod. I was looking for a lightweight tripod for a while, and Peak design was way too expensive, and when i heard ulanzi was making a carbon fiber tripod with similar features but better build and better engineered. I jumped on it quick, and let me tell you Ulanzi does NOT disappoint. Build quality is beyond my expectation and I would me recommend Ulanzi to all my friends and family. Great Job Ulanzi, if you have any new items you want to test hit me up.
Morgan G.
This is the best tripod i ever have owned! Sturdy and lightweight, easy to snap up and take down. Very good quality! Hats of and thumbs up for the best tripod ever!
Vaughn A.
I am currently in Iceland putting this tripod through its paces and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Michael W.
My second tripod but my first professional one. I was looking for something small and lowkey and lightweight. And with this you get all of that and more.
Peter C.
Lightweight and easy to carry. solid. A good companion for travel
Merry S.
Light and strong. Very easy to operate. It fits just about everybody - I am very short, and it works for people and me and people a foot and a half taller than I am.
John
I am very satisfied with my purchase, will be ordering again from this seller. This tripod is very well built, great quality. Very lightweight. The only thing is that I wish the tripod head would hold more weight. Max tripod head weight is 3KG or 6.6 Lbs. But it is a travel tripod. Other than that, this tripod is excellent. Very small profile, only 16 inches long! Same size as peak design, but, less expensive. Seller shipped this out very quickly. Shipping took less than a week to get here. Very happy with my purchase Thank you for super fast shipping!!
Michael
Best tripod for the money, light weight yet very sturdy and great quality - no loose part whatsoever. The design is similar to Peak Design travel tripod but the practicality and the adjustability is much better. Highly recomened.
Pardeep P.
Wow amazing for half the price of others!
Edmund C.
Compact, light and sturdy. Wish the tripod head knobs were larger and more robust. Awesome
Tripod. Please fix the knobs on the head. I have the Peak Design Carbon Fiber $600 tripod. Took both of these on my Canadian Rockies Trip for Astro and Hiking. This Ulanzi Tripod is just as good if not better than the PD one at 1/2 the price. The only problems I have with this COMAN tripod are the knobs on the head are VERY small and VERY difficult to turn and tighten. Wish you would have put larger lever knobs on them.
