Question: What does L024 add over the L023 Pro?

Answer: L024 ($119) is the FULL RGB version of the same 40W body. L023 Pro ($79.95) is bi-color only (2500K-6500K). L024 adds 0-359° HSI color control on top of bi-color CCT mode, plus more creative light effects. Same 40W output, same 50.3Wh battery, same Mini Bowens + 1/4" mount, same dimensions. Pick L024 if you do music videos, mood lighting, gaming streams, or any color-driven work. Pick L023 Pro if you only need white-light interviews/products and want to save $40.

Question: How is it different from the C60 60W RGB?

Answer: L024 ($119, 40W) is smaller and lighter — 490g body, 50.3Wh battery, 70+ min runtime at 40W. C60 RGB ($109.99, 60W) is more powerful but slightly heavier (537g) with shorter battery life (40 min at max). L024 is brighter at 0.5m because of tighter optics; C60 has more total output for wider area work. L024 is also slightly more expensive than C60 RGB despite lower wattage — the trade-off is more refined color science and the 50W overclock mode.

Question: How long does the battery last in RGB mode?

Answer: Same internal battery as L023 Pro: 14.8V / 3400mAh / 50.3Wh. About 70+ minutes at 40W standard, 180+ minutes at minimum brightness. RGB colors at high saturation draw the same power as CCT mode — your runtime is determined by output level, not color. Charging is 3 hours via DC 19V/3.4A or USB-C PD 65W. While charging, the light runs at 40W max.

Question: What mount does it use — will my modifiers fit?

Answer: Mini Bowens mount + 1/4" thread (same as L023 Pro, C60 series, and 100W COB). Mini Bowens accepts Aputure's Mini Bowens softboxes, Ulanzi's own Mini Bowens modifiers, and most mini-Bowens reflectors. Full Bowens softboxes need an adapter ring. Ships with a reflector and mini diffusion dome.

Question: How does it compare to Aputure MC Pro or Amaran T2c?

Answer: Aputure MC Pro (~$160 for the smaller, less powerful tube version) and Amaran T2c (~$160) are RGB tube lights, not COB. L024 is a 40W COB — much higher single-point output, designed as a key light or accent. Pick L024 for hard-edged key lighting, product, and portrait. Pick MC Pro / T2c for soft accent fills, color background washes, and tube-style placement.

Question: What's the difference between US, EU, and UK versions?

Answer: Only the included DC power adapter's plug. The light hardware and performance are identical worldwide. The Type-C PD 65W input also works with any standard USB-C wall charger globally — you don't strictly need the bundled adapter, just match the version to your home wall outlet for fastest charging.

Question: Is the MT-79 Light Stand Kit worth the extra $30?

Answer: Yes if you don't already own a light stand for this weight class. MT-79 is a 6.5-foot (~2m) collapsible stand sized for the L024 body. The kit is $149 vs $119 light-only, with the stand effectively costing $20 ($10 saved over buying separately). If you already have a Manfrotto or Avenger 6-foot stand, skip the kit.
