Review | Ulanzi UW-MIC 2.4GHz Wireless Recording Microphone (2 In 1)

Wireless is all the rage today. A quick glance at today's technological innovations will show you that their obvious direction is wireless. But what does it entail for a wireless recording microphone? Freedom from the wire conundrum, long-lasting battery, low latency, and pure audio recording. But there are too many of these devices on the market, and only a few can be called the dream wireless recording microphone for a content creator.   Designed for vloggers, filmmakers, livestreamers, and anyone else who wants an excellent wireless mic without the hassle of distorted audio, Ulanzi UW-MIC 2.4GHz takes the stage.   Get ready to meet your dream wireless recording microphone that goes the distance for you and then some more. The Seamless Design First things first, let’s talk about the package. The Ulanzi UW-MIC has three main parts: two lightweight transmitter mics that you can clip onto your attire easily and a receiver that connects with your phone. The recording system is so cleverly designed that it feels like one whole, not just different interconnected parts. The receiver plugs seamlessly into your phone without requiring an app. Similarly, you can use both microphones simultaneously without recording or audio lag. Whether you want to record your podcast guest or use the additional mic in a conference setting, you get unlimited options. Moreover, the microphones can be used as a recorder, recording synchronization to save audio. Build Quality and Dimensions Here’s the thing, apart from the obvious advantage of a wireless mic, the main attraction is its portability and low profile. Keeping true to these points, the tiny transmitters measure 50.48 by 21.55mm: The true definition of a ‘lavalier mic.’ Furthermore, the receiver measures 45.5 by 27.4mm. Perfect size to fit with the profile of a smartphone. On the other hand, the entire case is 97 by 29.72 mm. Barely noticeable during travel, slide into your pocket or backpack, and you’ll never notice it's there. Still, you need to take them out for use. A major tell of a professional device is its sleek appearance and build quality. Ulanzi UW-MIC is made from ABS material with the finest finish that’ll get you compliments from your guests and viewers alike. Mic Audio Recording and Reception Range With Ulanzi UW-MIC, you never have to worry about the audio quality. Working in the frequency range of 2.4 GHz at a sampling rate of 48KHz, it provides you exceptional omnidirectional condenser microphone. Still, the range becomes utterly useless if the recording is distorted. To ensure that you never have to suffer through the embarrassment of poor audio, our mics support 360° surround sound pickup, helping not only in clear audio but also with a better spatial sense for your audience. What’s more is that the wireless receiver can work up to 100 meters, equivalent to 328 ft. This option is particularly helpful when you have guest speakers or even when you have to collaborate with another vlogger. And it even gets better when you pair this range with audio synchronization. Noise Reduction Again, having an extended range of wireless reception and 360° surround sound means nothing if the mic cannot deliver pure and transparent audio. Well, we at Ulanzi have always tried for the best innovations that perform in the field. Similarly, for this specific problem, we give you not one but three levels of intelligent noise reduction. The first one works under the hood allowing you to adopt noise reduction algorithm pickup. Dial the difficulty a bit harder, and you get to filter environmental noise effectively and extract a clear human voice. But it doesn’t stop at that. For the vloggers and filmmakers, we give you the third level. Now, you don’t have to worry about the noise in the street or the wind slapping your mic. The windproof sweater will keep your voice crisp and clear. Long-Lasting Charging Case You don’t want your wireless mic to give up on you in the mid of a shoot or a vlog. Ulanzi UW-MIC gives you freedom from charging anxiety. Each of the two mics can last up to 8 hours on a charge of about 90 minutes. And that’s not it; the case provides you with enough juice to charge a mic three times. Even the case requires only about 90 minutes of charge to get full. Besides, the receiver directly plugs into the phone, meaning it does not need to be charged. For the tech-savvy among you, all the devices in this package are compatible with an input voltage of DC 4.8-5.4V.   Phone Compatibility Our lavalier microphone is compatible with all your Apple and Android phones. However, make sure that you select the right option on the website. The Lightning one is for Apple lovers, and Type-C is for Android enthusiasts. As you already know by now, this microphone is more than just a wireless recording mic. It’s the Swiss army knife for mics. Got an iPhone, no worries. An Android, we got you covered. Wind, you say? Windproof sweater keeps the mic warm and comfy and the audio crisp. The Bottom Line Here we are; you have scrolled down this far. It should only be fair if we helped you with your decision. We understand that with so many options in the market, one can quickly get confused. But here’s the deal, most of them are only half as good as they advertise. What we show you is what we have. And we are always eager to hear what you have to say about our products.   To summarize, Ulanzi UW-MIC 2.4GHz Wireless Recording Microphone is the perfect accessory for any content creator who dares to step up their game.
