With my One R on an invisible stick connected to my car hood with a magnet base, I was tooling down the gravel road in Denali National Park. The washboard and a pothole taught me that the magnet base wasn't as perfect as I thought. My pole, magnet and One R flew off my car, and crashed into the gravel road as I cursed at myself. I backed up the car and picked up the gear expecting the worse. It was shear luck that neither lens was even scratched but the camera itself was also in perfect shape and I can't even find a scratch on the Ulanzi cage. Since it did NOT land on the face of the OneR (or a lens would have been shattered), it clearly hit on the case when it came down and I'm pretty sure I saved the cost of a new One R by investing in this cage. I doubt very much the OEM cage would have held up. Thanks, Ulanzi.
