Amazing value. Pans and tilts smoothly, perhaps a longer handle would have been nice, but it would probably make it bulkier, which is the opposite of what this little head is about. Extremely well made. Not much to add, given the price and performance, it's a no-brainer. If you need light, sturdy, tiny and affordable, get one, you won't regret it.

I recently upgraded to a Sony A7IV and have started to dabble in video.
I use an F38 L bracket on the camera and was looking for a video head that was compatible with this.
I was delighted to find out that the Ulanzi U-190 video was suitable.
I wanted to started using a spare Benbo tripod that I have as my video unit and the addition of the U-190 head means that it is perfect for it. I have the tripod over 20 years but hadn't used it for a long time, but will the addition of the U190 head it is now back in use.

Used with Bowl Head tripod, Bullseye Bubble Level Disc and Nodal Rail. This allows use of L Bracket. Set up is Perfect for landscape, Panoramas and Video. Panning arm is placed in from when using viewfinder, this promotes pointing similar to guiding a long lens. I use a 50MM lens for panos in Portrait in place of a wide angle lens. This rig minus Camera is an Innorel RT80C tripod with Spike feet only weighs 5.2#. The camera shown I a Nikon Z5. Very stable and Light weight.

I like the product but wish it had a longer handle which would provide smoother control. Perhaps an adapter of some kind, even if sold separately, could be considered. I can probably make something myself, but I think it's an opportunity for Ulanzi.
I have a camera with a fixed lens (Lumix FZ1000) that's front heavy because of its glass. I had to buy a longer Arca compatible plate to help with the balance. I can't fault Ulanzi for that, of course, but I think a longer handle would have helped to make tilts, specifically, bit more controllable. Pans were fine and that's mostly what I needed. I could never get the right balance and drag for tilts and the shorter handle made for more jerky movements.

The Ulanzi U-190 is an excellent little fluid (friction) head that is very small, lightweight, strong, easy to use and durable. The unit is very simple and practical for most small Cameras and camcorders. Left side knobs basically tighten the quick release Plate and the Tilt/Pan Arm. The Right side knobs tightens the 190 head’s Tilt movement and pan movements. The unit does not have drag resistance. However, the Tilt and Pan resistance knobs work so well that it works somewhat like drag resistance. For the price and craftsmanship, the Ulanzi U-190 is a great fluid head for most small Cameras and camcorders.

The Ulanzi U-190 Hygralic Head Mini is a good little fluid friction head, especially given its very low price. It moves pretty smoothly and can hold pretty big gear. If you have really big gear that is very heavy
(4-5Kg +/8,10Lbs+) you will have to crank the drag resistance knob quite a bit, making tilting not so smooth. It works best with small Cameras, Camcorders, Binoculars and Spotting Scopes. It worked very well with most of my optics that I use interchangeably via Ulanzi Fast Claw, Quick push button release system. I have included a video to help demonstrate it in action so to speak.
I also had just about 10Lbs on it via my big spotting Scope with digital camera adapter, IR Light, NV color digital camcorder and I had to really crank on that drag knob in order for it to stop falling. This made for a not so smooth tilting when I was nature Digiscoping at night. Still, if you’re just starting out and using small to medium gear and you are on a very tight budget, the U-190 delivers good value for your money!
If you’re more serious then you should look into Ulanzi’s other ballheads that can perform more professionally like the U-100 & U-120 and several others ones they have for professionals productions. Good luck.

I am a part-time pro photographer and, recently, videographer. I like to work with gear which is competent but also as small and light as possible. My lightest rig to do close-up work outdoors with wild flowers and gardens is made of a small tripod with legs that go flat on the ground, this fluid head and either my Sony RX100 VII or my Olympus E-M5 III with, mostly, my Oly 60mm 2.8 macro. When called for, I add a 24" manual slider which, paired with this head, allows for video with some awesome complex movements. I have other, larger fluid heads for heavier gear but for this light setup this head works like a charm. Highly recommended.
