I purchased one Ulanzi VL-49 last year to use with my Sony ZV-1 to take photos and videos to promote her business. This Black Friday, I purchased one VL-49 RGB and two I-Lights. I did not expect them to be as bright as they are. I used them instead of my plug-in lights that I have used in the past. This gave me much more flexibility for placement. The lights worked for about two hours on a change and allowed me to create her latest video. These lights perform well beyond what I expected for their weight and cost.

Purchased both small and large small almost seems brighter for size these photos are taken with both at only 50% in total darkness well worth the price. White light at 100% is very bright compared for size and magnetic attachment well worth it

Love these as accent lights. They have a wider spread than the other square type lights, and seem to fit better for this job. The light is soft enough to use without diffusion, and if you had a few on the same spot you could use them as a key in a pinch.

I love these little lights and find them so useful for creative lighting. They work very well, have long battery life and have great intuitive features that cover everything from specific kelvin temperatures to being able to dial in any hue, saturation and brightness to pre-programmed lighting effects like lightning, cop car, etc. In this photograph of a backcountry campsite, I used three mini lights to creatively light the scene, one set to blue at camera left, one set to magenta at camera right, and one set to around 3200 kelvin in the tree for warmth, general illumination and backlighting. I’m finding even beyond photography needs they work well for camping and general illumination around the house. Highly recommend.

I have used lots of lights in the past, these are great so many cinematic styles and a full range or tempratures to pick from, makes using lights easy and lightwieght. Love the magnets and how simple they are to charge and opporate.

I was really excited about this little light so I bought Five.
Here are my pros.
- Compact
- Bright with a wide range to set the brightness
- The minimalist LED display is nice and easy to read
- Tripod threads on both sides (double-ended adaptors not included)
- USB C charging (I will not buy anything else anymore)
- The magnets are serviceable when placing lengthwise
- Price has a sweet spot
Here are my cons.
- The fireworks should have a time option on the last line as it cycles too quick
- The buttons should be transparent to illuminate them in the dark
- The magnets do not work when attempting to place multiple end to end
- There could be a rubber cover for the USB C port
If you address the points above with you should be on a winner.
If you add a simple app to control multiple at the same time with brightness and
hue adjustable like an animation over a timeline you will be supreme.
Overall these are great little lights to help with your photography or videos that I can recommend to anyone.

A Year's worth of parts-gathering needed something extra to jazz up the photos of the "build that took forever"! I love my other Ulanzi camera accessories and Ulanzi's "Pocket Ice Light" or I-Light is perfect to highlight the interior before wiring the RGB.
